Lisa Charest, Owner/Co-Director
Lisa graduated from Endicott College with a Masters Degree in Education. She completed her Montessori Certification in 2001 at Northeast Montessori Institute and taught for several years at Merrimack Montessori School in Haverhill. After having her eldest son, she took a six year break from teaching to spend time raising her two boys. Lisa came to MVMS in 2006 when her son started here and volunteered for four years before joining the staff in 2010. She lives in Plaistow with her husband and children.
Lisa Sauvageau, Owner/Co-Director
Lisa graduated from New Hampshire College with a BS in Accounting. She became interested in Montessori when her two children attended a Montessori school in Bedford, NH. Lisa's family relocated to Cincinnati where she received her Montessori Certification from the Cincinnati Center for Montessori Education and she recently earned her MEd in Early Childhood from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. Lisa has two daughters, Stephanie and Sydney, and lives in Windham with her husband Dan. Lisa joined MVMS as a lead teacher in 2004.
Maureen Anderson, Owner/Administrator
Maureen joined MVMS as office manager in 2001 after a thirteen year work hiatus to raise her two children - one of whom attended MVMS. Previously, Maureen was Vice President of Operations for an advertising/marketing firm, was assistant personnel director of a computer hardware company, and was secretary to the vice president of a Boston bank. Maureen has a BA from the University of New Hampshire. She lives in Hampstead, NH.
Tammy came to us in 1989 as an intern from the Early Childhood Program at Hesser College. After graduation she joined our staff and has been with us ever since. In those years, she has married and become a mother to Alyssa and Caroline. She took Montessori training in 2006 and became a lead teacher in 2007. Tammy lives with her husband, Dave, and their daughters in Nashua.
Aubrie graduated from Keene State College with a B.A. in Music and a minor in Psychology. After graduating, she moved to San Jose, California where she worked at a Bi-Lingual Montessori School. By June 2011, Aubrie received her Montessori credentials and worked in a Montessori School for four years. Recently, she moved back to New Hampshire and purchased a house with her husband in East Hampstead.
Erin attended Central Connecticut State University and graduated with her degree in nursing. She has worked in pediatrics for the past fifteen years. Although she loves her nursing job, Erin has taken a new career path and joined MVMS. Since joining MVMS, Erin as achieved her teaching certification. Erin’s daughter, Haley, attended MVMS and Erin has, during Haley’s time here and after, frequently volunteered at the school. Erin is a lifetime resident of Salem where she lives with her family.
Karen Accomando is the newest addition to our MVMS staff. Having growing up in Queens, New York, Karen graduated from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts where she met her husband, Michael. They moved to Pelham, New Hampshire where they are raising their two children, Carter and Charlotte. Karen and Michael own and operate their family business, Mel’s Funway Park in Litchfield. Karen found MVMS when looking for a preschool for her daughter and volunteered often throughout Charlotte’s three year stay at our school. In 2016, Karen started At MVMS as a temporary employee but soon became a permanent member of the staff as an assistant teacher.
Maureen attended Lehigh University earning a B.A. in English. After graduating, Maureen decided to enter the field of Education and matriculated at Johns Hopkins University where she received her Master of Arts in Teaching. Maureen taught as a kindergarten and first grade teacher before she decided to stay at home to raise her two daughters, Alina and Lilah. Maureen came to MVMS after volunteering during her daughter’s time at the school. She lives in Salem, NH with her husband and daughters.
